RIT Roorkee SWAR (Student Welfare Association of RIT),Department Of Electronics & Communication is going to conduct a webinar on ‘The Importance of Yoga’. The webinar will be chaired by Mr. Shalabh Agarwal, Senior Faculty, Art of Living Foundation.
He is a Graduate from IHM, Ahmedabad, and is Senior Faculty, Art of Living Foundation who has rendered exemplary pioneering service in the field of Youth Leadership, Stress Management, happiness at the workplace through meditation techniques and practical ancient wisdom. Mr. Shalabh will train the participants about the various ‘Yoga Asanas’ and their importance.
The International Day of Yoga has been celebrated annually on 21 June since 2015, following its inception in the United Nations General Assembly in 2014. Derived from the Sanskrit word “yuji,” meaning yoke or union, yoga is an ancient practice that brings together mind and body. It incorporates breathing exercises, meditation and poses designed to encourage relaxation and reduce stress. It improves flexibility, builds strength etc.
