𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗱 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗛𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗮 𝗺𝗼𝗰𝗸 𝗷𝗼𝗯 𝗳𝗮𝗶𝗿 which indeed was a great way to help students gain the confidence they need to mix and mingle with employers at a real career fair. The Mock job fair was designed to give prospective workers a realistic trial run of what they should expect an actual job fair to look like. This event was ideal for students, former inmates or anyone else who feels they need a little practice when it comes to making a job fair visit a success.
Before the mock job fair, students were trained in the basic skills needed to land a job. This includes topics such as appropriate attire, business etiquette, basic interviewing skills and how to make a good first impression with the employers.
