A Unique blend of Grassroot Consumer Marketing, New media and Higher Education he has added new approach to Training and Teaching Pedagogy by adding a lot Practical &Technology led teaching including Live Case Studies, Storytelling, simulations & online teaching whichproved highly beneficial to Learning Outcome of the students. Hewas keenly involved in MDP, Consulting, Research, Teaching &Corporate Relations @School of BusinessUPES, Dehradun. Having acquired his educational degrees from prestigious institutions like Fergusson College & University of Pune, Prof Jha holds a PhD in Marketing & MBA (Marketing) along with an illustrious industry experience of around 30 years. Dr Jha is also a PHD Guide to Five Research Scholars in the School of Business @UPES in the Area of Digital, Marketing, Oil& Gas &Sustainability.He has published various research papers in leading internationaljournals. He has also bagged an interesting project from the Uttarakhand Govt and the work was highly appreciated by the Chief Minister.
Two research scholars successfully completed their PHD at UPES, Dehradun under his guidance on Supply Chain & Sustainability in the year 2021 &2022. Fifty Students completed their dissertation reports under his guidance at UPES, Dehradun.
He has worked on a Project on sustainable tourism with CII in the hill states of India& Department of Statistics Uttarakhand Government on SDG goals. Hehas also been thefaculty head of the student’scouncil at the School of business @UPES focusing on skill development of the Students.
Prior to UPES he has worked with Jagran Lake city University, Bhopal as Director -School of Management & Professor & HOD at Indira Global Business School, Pune.
Dr Karunakar jha has previously worked leading Companies such as Amul, Unilever, The Times of India Group & Network 18 Group around Marketing & Strategy prior to joining academics. He has successfully launched various brands during his stints at Amul, Unilever, Ching’s Secret &Uncle Chips.
Prior to joining RIT, Roorkeeworked as Director (Academic Affairs) at Universal Business School, Mumbai. At UBS he was Chairman, Examination Committee, Chairman FPM, Head Incubation Centre besides Member of NBA, Research, AACSB & Alumni Committee.
He lovesMusic, cricket,football,tennis, enjoys cooking and is very fond of Bengali &Bihari cuisine.
