RIT Roorkee has been awarded as the “Best Institute in the field of Excellence and Innovation in Robotics Education”. In its seventh year, the awards were set up to recognize the importance of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). The event was held at NDMC Convention Center, Jantar Mantra, New Delhi and Inaugurated by Shri Nitin Gadkari, Union Cabinet Minister and Minister of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises.
The STEM Awards are formulated for overcoming the challenges in the key STEM sectors, set in partnership with leading employers in these sectors. The STEM Awards are organised by All India Council for Robotics Automation (AICRA).
For the second time consecutively, RIT was ranked first amongst the top rated Engineering Institutes in India.
AICRA is focused on building the architecture integral to the development of the automation sector through policy advocacy, and help in setting up the strategic direction for the sector to unleash its potential and dominate newer frontiers.
