𝗔𝗻 𝗶𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗕.𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵. 𝗠𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 was organized to Chanderpur Works 𝗣𝘃𝘁. 𝗟𝘁𝗱. (𝗖𝗣𝗚), 𝗬𝗮𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗿, 𝗛𝗮𝗿𝘆𝗮𝗻𝗮 𝗼𝗻 𝟭𝟬𝘁𝗵 𝗠𝗮𝘆 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟯. 31 students participated and visited the plant.
Students were first taken to 𝗬𝗮𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗿 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗹𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 (𝗬𝗘𝗖) 𝗣𝘃𝘁. 𝗟𝘁𝗱., 𝗬𝗮𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗿 (a unit of CPG). Ms. Pooja, HR, YEC welcomed students and Mr. Hitesh Batra, General Manager, YEC, along with his team member demonstrated all facilities of this unit.
YEC is a testing hub for all steel industries of yamunanagar and has a large variety of Mechanical and chemical testing of materials. Mr. Hitesh demonstrated various facilities of unit to students like Coordinate measuring machine (CMM), Vertical milling machine, Universal Testing Machine (UTM), Impact testing machine, Hardness testing machine, Chemical testing lab, CAD software for drawing preparation, Scanner for preparing 3D model directly from product, Material hardening and polishing facility, spectrometer for chemical composition of materials, Turnomill CNC lathe machine, Abrasive Jet machine, Robotic arm MIG welding, 3D printing etc.
Later on students were taken to Chanderpur Works Pvt. Ltd. (CPG), Yamunanagar plant. Mr. Kuldeep Rana, AM, HR along with his team welcomed students and gave brief introduction of plant. He showed CPG training center, marketing section, R & D section, Internal training facilities and CAD training software to students.
Production supervisors Mr. Gaurav Bhardwaj, Assistant manager, Machine Shop, Mr. Upinder Kumar, Assistant Manager, Machine Shop and Mr. Sahil Panjeta, Senior Engineer, Production planning and control showed various facilities of CPG manufacturing unit (MBD – Machine Building Division) to students like Raw Material section with gas cutting facility, chips disposal section, Ball mill fabrication, Advance welding machine, CNC machines, Vertical lathe machine, Shot blasting facility, Rolling machine, Paint shop, Inspection shop, Testing facilities etc.
Students were accompanied by 𝗠𝗿. 𝗡𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗕𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗮𝗹, 𝗔.𝗣. 𝗠𝗘 and 𝗠𝗿. 𝗔𝗸𝗮𝘀𝗵 𝗞𝗮𝗸𝗿𝗮𝗻, 𝗔.𝗣. 𝗠𝗘.
After visit, students were happy and could understand the working procedure of testing centers, steel industry and quality control.
